Steve advises clients and manages the firm's investment research, including on-site due diligence of investment managers, and creates advanced estate planning strategies for clients. He has close to 27 years of experience advising wealthy individuals. His career began at PaineWebber, and shortly after the firm merged with UBS, he founded his own wealth management firm in 2003.

A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and a Master Certified Estate Planner™, Steve received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Indianapolis. His prior career was in strategic planning for the automotive components industry in Indiana before he moved to Florida in 1997.

Steve founded the Manatee chapter of All-Pro Dad, promoting healthy fatherhood of school age children. He is one of the leaders of F3-Suncoast, the local region of F3, a nationwide group impacting the Fitness, Fellowship and Faith of men. He is an accomplished triathlete and former collegiate baseball player most recently using his skills to coach youth league baseball for many years. He is Past President of the Estate Planning Council of Manatee County and a graduate of the Gulf Coast Leadership Institute. Steve is active in various ministries at Bayside Community Church in Bradenton and has served as an adjunct professor at Bayside College.

Steve and his wife, Lori, have been married for 28 years and have three children. Outside of work, Steve enjoys playing golf, competing in Ironman races and has a bittersweet relationship with all the home improvement projects he and his wife have chosen as their weekend pastime.

A Master Certified Estate Planner™ has:

  • Completed two rigorous eight (8) module courses of instruction in the field of estate planning,
  • Successfully passed comprehensive proctored qualifying exams,
  • Shown a desire to associate with professional estate planning peers,
  • Agreed to comply with annual estate planning continuing education requirements, and
  • Ascribed to the practical guidelines and code of ethics of the NICEP
